Re: Rugby Indiana 2020 Spring Season Cancellation.
Dear Rugby Indiana Players, Parents, and Coaches
On March 20th, USA Rugby announced the suspension of all rugby activities through May 31st. This has led to the tough but necessary for us to cancel the 2020 Spring Season due to concerns with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The health of our community is a top priority for Rugby Indiana.
Currently, Rugby Indiana’s Refund Policy states that all refunds will have a $40 administrative fee. Given the unprecedented circumstances, all players will receive a 90% refund of their Rugby Indiana registration fee. As many know, Rugby Indiana works year-round to make the spring and fall rugby seasons possible. In order to refund this amount back to our players, the Board made many tough budget decisions in order to run our operations bareboned for the remainder of 2020.
These refunds will begin to be processed 31 March 2020 by the same method used in registration. Refunds can take up to 10 business days for financial institutions to process. If you do not see your refund by 17 April 2020, please contact our Executive Director, Wayne, via email at Weells@RugbyIndiana.com.
Questions related to team fees should be directed toward your team’s administrator.
Rugby Indiana is looking forward to resuming rugby in Indiana at the time when it is safe for all of our players, parents, coaches, referees, and fans. We are working on planning the Fall 2020 Sevens, the 30th Anniversary Celebration and 2021 Spring Rugby. We cannot run this foundation without the support of our rugby community. If you are inclined to waive your refund and donate it back to Rugby Indiana by using our Network for Good online platform
