Elizabeth Clossey passed away on March 9, 2019. She was a key part of the beginning of the Brownsburg, IN rugby team in 2003. She was most famously know by the teams of Rugby Indiana for her role as Post Match Social Coordinator.
Rugby's tradition of hosting a social for the visiting team became something she was passionate about. The Brownsburg Boys High School rugby team was highly desired to play matches against - not just because of how good they were, and their strong positive rugby culture, but also for the food at their socials. There was nothing better than having an intense rugby match, and then the high school boys and coaching staff having a meal together afterwards. The Brownsburg socials was a passion for her, and she continued in the role even after her son graduated, filling the role until 2013.
She was even part of this article on the Rugby Wrap Up that talked about the food socials after rugby matches - http://rugbywrapup.com/2014/02/food/
Our deepest sympathy and prayers for her family, and the Brownsburg Rugby Program.
